Soften my Heart
Hi, I am Elder Choe.

Leticia

Hello Everyone!

My name is Leticia. I am from San Diego, California. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for five years. I am currently a senior at San Diego State University. I am majoring in Psychology.

I learned about the church through one of my college World Religion Philosophy courses. For my final in the class, I decided to write a paper about Mormons. I didn't know much about Mormons and I was eager to learn more. I requested a Book of Mormon and the elders called me 20 minutes later. They made an appointment with me the next day to drop it off. They came back again and we started the missionary discussions. After a month of lessons, I got baptized! I was the first one in my family to become a member of the church. A month later, my mother and sister were baptized. Two years later, my uncle got baptized.
As of now, we are the only ones who are members of the church. I still talk to one of the elders that taught me on a weekly basis. I've gone to General Conference multiple times. I love it! The spirit there is so strong! I hope everyone at least once in their lifetime has the opportunity to go! I've had many callings as well from primary teacher to ward missionary to nursery leader. I hope to get married in the temple one day!

I look forward to getting to know everyone else on this blog.

Jeremy Unitt

Hello everyone, a quick introduction to myself, and then to the purpose of my blog.

First of all, my name is Jeremy Unitt, and I was asked to share a little bit about myself, and also introduce my blog.

I think I just repeated myself...

I was born at West Point, New York, and an a military dependent. For those of you not familiar with the term, it means I went where my Dad goes. So I've been around. New York, Texas, Alaska, Alabama, Belgium, and I served in Honduras as a full-time missionary.

I've always been a writer at heart. I didn't recognize how much people enjoyed what I wrote till about senior year, where I sort of had a epiphany moment when one of my all time favorite tabletop war games was discontinued (yes...NOT COOL. But who can judge inspiration) and realized how much I wanted to make writing a part of my life.

It wasn't till the mission where I got the desire to begin to write about life in general. More specifically, what it meant to be a member of the restored Church of Jesus Christ. The idea for blogging those feelings came from three separate sources, which I shall post in brilliantly numbered format. (The link is provided.)

Stephanie...Steph...Stephie.  Whatever ya want!

I'm a 20 something figuring out how to navigate the life of a young single adult.

It can be treacherous with bills and insurance and 401K plans.
Plus throw in a little dating and you have yourself a CRAZY life.

But no matter what life throws at me I always have my faith to rely on and get me through.

Tyler Smith

I'm thrilled to contribute to a blog like this that combines the efforts of so many saints from around the world! I live in Provo, UT, and I work for +The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm a pretty casual blogger, which means that my personal blog covers all kinds of topics, ranging from my evil pet crabto my latest technology obsession, to my faith. My most popular post is basically an invitation to watch general conference.

My favorite thing about the internet is meeting interesting people. Please take a moment to say hello on Google+ if you get a chance. I'd love to meet you.

I love photography, and I pretty much only take pictures with my mobile phone. That means that most of my pictures don't turn out, but occasionally I have success! I've recently started to cook--an adventure, to be sure. But it sure beats the incessant eating out and horrible diet that plague so many single adults. I'm determined to live a healthier life! Perhaps my nerdiest hobby is being obsessed with Google and all of its new ideas and products. Of course, I am fascinated by the possibilities the internet creates for sharing the gospel, which is why projects like this pique my interest. I look forward to reading!

Mariama Wurie

Hi! I'm Mariama and I'm a twenty-something British expat living in Salt Lake City, Utah. And I'm Mormon

I studied Entrepreneurship at LDS Business College and I loved it! Entrepreneurship fascinates me and of course I have some business ideas I want to pursue. I love the freedom and flexibility of it. And how creative you can be.

I also love art, culture, food, travel and photography, and only after 8 years of interest I'm finally ready to buy my very first camera - I'm kinda really excited.

My all-time favorite quote is by Veronca A. Shoftstall, as it's quite long here is a little part I wanted to share: "...after a while you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes ahead with the grace of woman, not the grief of a child...you learn that you really can endure, you really are strong, you really do have worth..."

I look forward to getting to know the other bloggers and enjoy this experience with them!

I did not answer immediately ready for baptist because I know when I got baptized is sign of promise beginning I have to obey all the commandments to Heavenly Father.and I think and think again and I read again The Book Of Mormon on Alma 31:31-35..
And finally after I read The Book Of Mormon,I was willing to be baptist.and I was interview by our mission president from america who was on indonesia mission.and I'm so glad that he was declared that I'm eligible to be baptist.when I'm going home he and his wife was took me home and drop me home.it does not always happend to all church members that president mission visit church members and I wasn't member yet on that moment.on the day I got baptist,I was baptized by my missionary from california name Elder Xiong.I was make a joke to him: Hei Elder don't forget to pull me up from the water oke ha ha ha ..church members awesome and so nice.they make a little party to welcome me as a new member..3 months after my baptism,I was had opportunity to involve on duty for youth conference event the whole middle of java.God has given me to have a better life and new life.and I have made the right decision to become a part of this church.I believe this church true and I love to read The Book Of Mormon.I believe Holy Ghost worked in my new life and I hope brother and sister keep praying and keep to read The Book Of Mormon.the love of God its no limits and I say all this in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ..Amen..

The Good, The Bad, and The Lopez

"Hello, my friends, hello."
-Neil Diamond

Hello there new reader, or is it still you old buddy? "Nope it's me again. Looks like you're branching out huh?" Right? I was invited to help out on this nifty blog of niftyness! "I'm almost positive that's not a word..." Yep... same dear reader... "So, with this new blog, looks like you're gonna have to introduce yourself again." Yea, it seems introductions are once again in order.

Default epic missionary
picture!
Hello there dear reader, I am known by many as Elder Alejandro Lopez. But you can call me Elder Lopez for short. Oh, and Elder is not my first name, but you probably already knew that. I am currently serving in the B-E-A-UTIFUL mission of Jacksonville, Florida. Now that sounds interesting enough but get this, ask where I live. Go ahead I'll wait.... "Ok, where do yo-" ORLANDO, FLORIDA! Oh yes, I am serving in a mission just above my home mission. Crazy huh? "That's... well actually yea." Crazier still? Didn't go to the Missionary Training Center. "Mind. Blown." Chyea. "Well alright there Mr. Fancy, I bet everyone is wondering just what your gonna be blogging about. Well, I guess it'd be what you HAVE been blogging about." Oh! Right.

See, in my youth, I had more free time than I was proud of I watched A LOT of movies.(Oh, and cartoons too, LOVED cartoons) However, my parents would only let us watch Disney movies on Sundays, so my brother and I became really good at relating movies to the gospel in an effort to watch them (it never worked...) but as I grew older, I began to realize that much like the scriptures, which were written a long, long time ago, in a land far, far away, they can be related to our days and so, why can't pop culture? So stay for a while, take off your shoes if you so desire, and let's share a laugh while we learn about the gospel through, tv, music and... well, other media! Oh! and don't hesitate to leave a suggestion of what you wanna read about next! Also, if you would like to see the water from the source, as they say, "no one says that..." Well... Click here anyway!

Hannah Jane

Hi! I'm Hannah Jane R. Odiong, 20, from the Philippines. I am simple girl with light complexion and a chubby small girl. I've always been described as a shy and quiet girl. Indeed, that's me but take time to meet me and you'll find out who really am I. I love creating handicrafts especially making things out of beads. I enjoy watching movies (with sense! haha). I love creating poems and stories. I am an introvert person sometimes who loves making things alone, not that I'm not a team player but I just think I work things out great. I rejoiced in learning new things and am eager to learn more. I am a family centered person. I always love everyone around me, especially my family. I love the Church and the gospel. Since, I am converted to the gospel I always love and embrace it. I love meeting other people as well. I enjoy talking in a crowd (sometimes) :D! Hopefully, your having a great time here :D. This is my first time to write as what I always wanted.

Penny Rich

I wanted to give a little background on me.  I was born and raised in Palmyra New York.   In 2002 i had two elders walking door to door signing christmas carols.   I had a feeling that i should listen to them.  Two weeks early i prayed for guidance and direction in my life.  And i found it with two elders.  When they were talking to me i felt like i already knew what they were teaching me was true.    I have had a lot of struggles in my life and i found my biggest strength through the Gospel in my life.    I lost both my parents to death and struggled with it alot.    I know that  i will see them again..  I had the spirit whisper alot  of comfort through my life to me .

Rachel Dean

Hey y'all! My name is Rachel. I am a young single adult. I live in the south in this small town in the middle of nowhere. I attend a little branch here in my town. The church is definitely different out here. I am big on crafting and reading. That is how I spend most of my free time. I have a calling as a family history center consultant and technical advisor. I LOVE family history work. I only started work on my family history work last summer and I have found SO much information. I've been considering starting up a family history blog, but I'm still tossing the idea around. I do have a personal blog that I rarely use. Lately I have been on this reading and writing kick. I enjoy writing but I feel that I am not too great at it and that people won't be interested in what I have to say. I think that this is an opportunity for me to develop my talents and branch out a little. I hope that maybe I can inspire someone with what I have to share. I would love for y'all to send me some idea or suggestions about what it should blog about. Feel free to send ideas and questions to me at rachel.dean.900@gmail.com.

Lizzie Holmes

She is a good friend of mine from Brigham Young University: Idaho. Since the beginning of the Mormon YSA Blog Spot, I always wanted a video blogger and a musician on the blog spot, having her in mind; then, she somehow got the courage to begin pursuing her music more. She use to just do covers, but now she makes her own music. The playlist here is her original songs. She has a long and needed break until her next semester at BYUI, and she plans to compose a lot of music.

Lesego is a super fun girl, a surprisingly introverted and gentle one; although, she has the convince to dance with mad skill. She is from South Africa. Her articles are interestingly short. I asked her to write more after a sentence long post, and she gave me a second wonderful separate spiritual thought. I think of her like a Twitter micro-blogger type writer.

When Isidro Zapata joined the blog spot, he was recovery from ailments that might kill him, and he recently discovered the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His life before his conversion was brutal; however, his burdens are now lighter with the Gospel. He has become a great contributor of the blog spot, giving his all, since he doesn't know how much longer that he has in mortality.

Priscilla Pringle's Predicament - Reader's Theater at Lethbridge Whoop-U...

This week was quite fun for me because I got to portray the main antagonist in a Reader's Theater called 'Priscilla Pringle's Predicament/All's Swell That Ends Swell' that Playgoers of Lethbridge put on at Lethbridge Whoop-Up Days 2017. The story was written by Ed Bayly, a truly wonderful individual. Doing the performances all week reminded me of how much I love participating in theater. "In the era before the Avatar, we bent not the elements, but the energies within ourselves." -A giant Lion Turtle Avatar the Last Airbender was one of my favorite shows when I was but a lad, which was about a year ago... If you haven't seen it, then you have missed out, cause they're already on the second series, season, whatever you wanna call it, but it's on Netflix so there's that. "Are you sure you're not talking about the Blue cat people?" I'm positive... I mean, it was just great, BUT, much like Pokemon, it was one of those shows, that you watch and you get sad cause you're like, "Why can't I do that?" So it was sort of bittersweet. Anyway, what I'm trying to get at, is that it's great. "You really liked it huh?" Chyea, I was thinking about it the other day and something hit me... I think it was a Dragonfly, cause let me tell you, that thing was HUGE and it hurt... But then I realized something.

"Around and around" by Isidro Zapata on the #mormonysablogs Official Website

Around & around we go trying to fill a void in our hearts, so around & around we go, trying to fill a void in our hearts, The Son of Man's compassion, passion and grace step in, to fill the void holding us tenderly, by his love and grace Jesus will never let us go So around and around our love grows hard to walk away from such love Jesus is the only way to live a life of bliss So around and around our love grows Jesus gave his life for you and me Wiping away every tear showing you grace from above now that is true love So around and around our love grows to the one who laid down his life so we can live a life of bliss hard to walk away from such love so around and around our love grows to him who laid down his life for you and me CR2016-01-04 iz
