Dinner with Logan Starks and Art Rascon, a speaker from P2B

     I am happy to say that Logan Starks has returned to BYU Idaho after a brief hiatus, and I was able to enjoy dinner with him and his girlfriend Rachel Zeller. We had a good time at dinner, and Art Rascon from ABC news addressed us. He is an Emmy award winning Reporter, joining ABC-13 in September 1998 to serve as anchor of the five o'clock news. The following tweets were my notes on his speech: Realize your tremendous dependence on God; furthermore, he will to grant to you your righteous desires. Trust him. The Lord can do better with your life than you can do without him. Depend on his love for you. Let your roots grow so deep into the earth & the Gospel that the people, who look to you for survival, can live. Don't follow the world's ways. It is without integrity. This is why anarchy breaks out without rule; looting, riots, and so forth. The keys to Sam Walton's success are hard work, the love of others, and the understanding that God is in control.

This week has been productive somewhat. I gave blood on Tuesday, and Jessica and I received our Valentine's Day packages on that day too. On Wednesday when Jessica and I began to Skype, a thought popped up in my mind, saying "You should not be dating her." This is not the first time that this happened, so I gave it some thought. Today is Sunday, and Jessica and I are fasting to confirm this prompting today. Pondering the thought that I should not be dating Jessica was unbearable last night, and I expressed it to her.  Also on Wednesday night, I prayed for a missionary opportunity, and the next day my work situation changed. I did my taxes on Saturday.      The opportunity to give blood became exciting on Tuesday, when I found out that my blood type is O positive. I was told that I can do a special donation where I give double the red blood cells. They said that it was actually easier on the body because they only take the red blood cells, and put the plasma and ever...

'Telling the Truth' by Lesego Mholo

I'd rather be hurt by you telling me the truth than lies. Keep deceiving people and think they don't know. One day it will catch up with you. The truth hurts when its contrary to what your made to believe.  In one way or another lies always catch up with us, our consciousness doesn't let us lie for too long. Lying affects trust and loyalty in a relationship when your lied to you feel like you no longer belong you feel inadequate, telling the truth solidifies a relationship bond, and it might signify love or care; furthermore, telling the truth to me it tells that your emotionally mature. The truth makes me feel secure. Sometimes we give our hearts to people, and they think we are stupid for that we end up depending on them for loyalty. Truth is the only way two people can survive in a relationship and mutual understanding but reassurance and trust are the only things that might keep the relationship functioning.
